How to use BabyView
For ease of use we
have divided BabyView into two mains areas. This means that you can more easily
control the amount and type of information you read.
The first part of
BabyView contains the public pages. Anyone who surfs the web can read this
part of the website. The information in these pages is very general and covers
topics, which affect sick, newborn babies and their parents as well as more
specific discussion about what happens within our neonatal unit.
The second part of BabyView contains Baby Diary. Information here is for
parents only and access is strictly controlled. This means that members of the
general public cannot view these pages. Baby Diary is
a series of letters written to parents by nursing staff, we can often include photos of the baby with these diary entries to help
parents and family follow his progress.
If you, as a parent, choose to have access to the Baby Diary in this secure area you must
give written permission first. You will not be able to look at the details of
any baby other than your own, likewise no one will be able to see your baby's
details. Baby Diaries require a username and password, you will choose the
password yourself the password can only be changed from within the neonatal unit.
If you would like friends or family to see either of these, you can give them the
appropriate username and password - you have control. You can stop them gaining access to the
site at any time by changing the password.
Parents can access BabyView from anywhere you have
access to the Internet!
