Neonatal Funds

There are two Neonatal funds that your money could go towards.

The Newborn Appeal

Administrator: Jan Walton 0151 702 4191

Registered Charity Number: 1010978

The Newborn Appeal was launched in April 1992. So far the total amount of money raised by the generosity and ongoing support of great deal of people is just over one million six hundred thousand pounds.

We are very grateful to people who have given their support up to now but we need more.

The aim of The Newborn Appeal have not changed, they are:

  • To purchase specialised equipment
  • To support research to improve the quality of care for the tiny and delicate babies looked after in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit.
  • To maintain a unique research programme which places the care of the newborn on Merseyside at the forefront and adds to Liverpool's already excellent reputation for medical science.

The Neonatal Unit Fund

This fund uses money to improve the neonatal unit environment for the benefit of babies, their families and staff working on the unit. It also uses money to help nursing and midwifery staff working on the neonatal unit attend educational meetings and training courses and to provide other educational material.
