reception/information desk in the Main Mall.
Car Parking
There is limited parking available at the Royal Infirmary of
Edinburgh. Parents of babies admitted to the neonatal unit are entitled to
reduced parking costs. There are notices in the nurseries about parking costs
and parents should ask the nurse looking after their baby about this. In the unit there
is always a more senior nurse who is the Team Leader for that shift.
The Team Leader will issue parents with a parking permit, which entitles them to use the
car parks at the hospital for £3.00 per 24 hours. The £3.00 must be paid in
advance; parents may also pay in advance for a number of hours - for
example pay £21.00 for 168 hours or 7 days parking. Having paid for the day,
parents may enter and leave the car park as many times as they like. Parents
will receive written information with their permit to explain how to use it.
